THE SLAVF CONDUCTS AN AWARENESS LECTURE ON CLEAN SRI LANKA

The Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force conducted an awareness lecture to the serving members on the initiative of "Clean Sri Lanka" under the guidelines of Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) on 20 August 2025 at the Multi - Functional Hall, HQ SLAVF.

The Government leads “Clean Sri Lanka Project”, aims to address a cleaner physical environment and a nationwide moral commitment to enhance ethical principles. Enhancement of the three pillars of sustainability; economic, social and governance have been identified as the framework to address the overarching objectives of this strategic plan with specific stakeholder goals, actions, time lines and outcomes.

The lecture was resourced by Lieutenant Colonel P A G A P Madiththapola GW who performs as the General Staff Officer 1 (Training) of the HQ SLAVF. The lecture got underway with the close supervision of Brigadier B J Lakamge KSP, the Inspector of Training of the Volunteer Force. The occasion was attended by officers and other ranks of the Headquarters in the Volunteer Force.
