SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION WORKSHOP - PHASE 03

The certificate awarding ceremony for the training programme of‘Skills Development & Innovations’ - Phase – 03 was successfully culminated strengthening the conceptual design of Green Soldier under the patronage of Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 27 April 2023 at the Multi-Functional Hall.

The workshop serves as an inspirational strive for innovations through recycling, and the competencies and skills development that would cover disciplines of innovation through Team Work, Waste Management, Welding, Painting and Carpentry.The course of study was lasted from 19 December 2022 to 27 April 2023 with a strength of 21,and it consisted of workshops and field visits where the trainees are able to enhance their knowledge and competencies on skills development and innovations.

The Commandant SLAVF adorned the certificate awarding ceremony as the Chief Guest and the trainees received their certificates upon the successful completion of the course of study by the senior officer. The programme got under way with close supervision of Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, and the Senior Officer attended in awarding certificates at the occasion

Following the giveaway of certificates, the ceremony was addressed by the Chief Guest,and he spelled out the significance of the best application of skills and knowledge acquired during the course in realizing the establishment goals and fulfilling the long term and short term objectives of the programme, marking the conclusion of the awarding certificates.

Principal Staff Officer, Inspector of Training, Colonel Logistics, Colonel Military Secretariat, Colonel Administration, Recruiting Officer, Colonel Welfare, Colonel Audit, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the SLAVF were present the awarding ceremony.
