PSYCHOLOGICAL APPROACH FOR CONTENTED FAMILY LIFE

Coincide with the training day, a lecture on contented family life was conducted under the directions of Major General D M K D B PUSSELLA RWP RSP, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 23 August 2023 at Headquarters, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

The lecture was delivered by Mrs. Bhagya Abeysinghe who pursues a career as a Counselling Psychologist and rendering a tremendous service to heal the mindset of the people in the society. She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), She completed her post graduate studies in Psychology and Counselling and presently she is reading for PhD. She contributes immensely to the main charisma of National Dangerous Drugs Control Board which is the key national institution for prevention and regulator of drug manipulation in Sri Lanka. Further, she serves as the Secretary to the Professional Psychological Counsellors’ Association.

This lecture provided space to learn on the triangular theory of love, consists with three components called intimacy, passion and commitment where it creates a strong consummate relationship in the family. Further, she delivered a lecture in an impressive and an entertain manner by touching the songs and music

The programme was underway with the close supervision of Major General Thusitha Silva KSP , the Deputy Commandant of the Volunteer Force. Brigadier W G P Sisira Kumara RSP, the Inspector of Training and a gathering of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended the lecture.
