PIRITH RECITAL BESTOWS BLESSINGS ON THE NEW “HEADQUARTERS COMPLEX”

Amidst bliss of warming the new “Headquarters Complex” on new soil, an all-night pirith chanting ceremony seeks blessing on shifting to the new camp premises under the auspicious of Major General DGS Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force was held on 25 July 2022 at the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force.

Every individual gathered in adoration and the new camp premises coloured with the beauteous sight of pirith mandapaya, prepared to be showered of recitation of pirith.

The Relics Casket for the Pirith Chanting was brought from the historical temple of Lenawara Rajamaha Viharaya, Akarawita in a perahera and chanting of pirith commenced following all the religious rituals.

During the spiritual event, Ven. Maha Sangha transferred merits on fallen war heroes and blessings were invoked on the “Headquarters Complex”, Volunteer Force and both serving and predecessors, and their family members.

Heel Dana was offered to the members of the Maha Sangha after the pirith chanting which proceeded until this morning 26 July 2022 .

A large gathering of members of the Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force including civil servants attended the events.
