OPERATIONAL ASSURANCE THROUGH AN EFFECTIVE PROCESS OF AUDIT

The training day was compiled with an awareness lecture on “Operating an Effective Audit ” under the directions of Major General D K S K Dolage USP nps psc, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) on 02 April 2025 at the Multifunctional Hall.

The lecture was conducted by Major K D M Kumarasiri who has been serving as a Staff Officer 1 (Finance) in the Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force with the approval of the Directorate of Budget and Finance. The senior officer belongs to the 1 ^st Battalion of the Sri Lanka General Service Corps and he is a professionally sound military officer in his stream of employability.

The lecturer spelled out the significance of conducting aboard of auditthat requires careful planning, clear roles, and a structured approach to ensure compliance, accuracy, and accountability. Further, he clearly elaborated ona detailed breakdown of the process of an audit board which is a critical process that assures operational efficiency within an organization.

The scheduled programme was closely supervised by Brigadier B M R J Bandara - the Deputy Commandant (Overlooking) SLAVF,and a gathering of senior officers, officers and other ranks attended the occasion.
