OPENING OF NEWLY CONSTRUCTED WARRANT OFFICERS’ AND SERGEANTS’ MESS

Newly constructed Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess,Headquarters,Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (HQ SLAVF) was declared open by Major General MK Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commandant,SLAVF together with Major General Thusitha Silva KSP - Deputy Commandant, SLAVF amidst customary formalities accorded on the invitation of Volunteer Force Headquarters Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer 1 LVSS Wijesundaraon 01 April 2024.

The bestowing the possession of Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess for its dependents is a realization of a long felt required facility that preserves the traditional military custom.

The Commandant, SLVAF and the Deputy Commandant, SLAVF attended the ceremonial opening of the plaque amidst religious observances, and the gathering of officers witnessed the occasion with gestures of compliments.

The constructions were performed with labour contributions of the troops in the Volunteer Battalions of Garrison Engineering and Engineer Service Regiment of the Volunteer Force.

M M Salwatura RWP RSP USP - Principal Staff Officer,Brigadier W G P Sisira Kumara RSP - Inspector of Training along with other Senior Officers and Officers of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force were present at the occasion.
