NEWLY APPOINTED REGIMENTAL SERGEANT MAJOR RECEIVES COMPLIMENTS FROM THE COMMANDANT

S/7T01527 Warrant Officer I K Jayawardhena of 7 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps was appointed as the Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Headquarters with effect from 05 July 2022.

Upon assuming duties as the Regimental Sergeant Major of the Volunteer Force he took the oath in the presence of Major General D G S Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 05 June 2022 at the Commandant’s Office of the Headquarters.

During the occasion, the Commandant centered his instructions on the significance of the appointment vested much responsibilities and made him inspired on the role and tasks that he has to execute during his assignments of duties. Especially, the Senior Officer emphasized on the personal traits and career qualities of being an active role model conferred to the appointment which is accountable for much streams of fields in the Sri Lanka Army.

Towards the end of the brief meet, the Commandant wished him good luck with their new responsibilities.
