MARSHAL OF THE AIR FORCE VISITS HQ SLAVF

The head of the Presidential Tasks Force, Marshal of the Air Force W D R M J Goonetileke RWP VSV USP ndc psc made an observation visit to Army Cantonment, Panagoda today (04 May 2020).

During the programme, Marshal of the Air Force visited the Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (HQ SLAVF), Kosgama. Marshal of the Air Force was warmly received by Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Major General H J S Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc and the Deputy Commandant of SLAVF Major General K P Nugegoda RWP RSP at the new camp premises.

Subsequently, Marshal of the Air Force inspected the areas which have been allocated for the quarantine process of COVID 19 with the company of the Deputy Commandant, the Principal Staff Officer and other senior Officers of the HQ SLAVF.

Further, Logistics Command and Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers unit which have been located at the camp premises were observed by the senior officer.

During the inspection, the senior officer gave further directions for more improvements in preventing from the COVID 19 epidemic.
