MAJOR GENERAL THUSITHA SILVA KSP VISITS 2 SRI RIFLE CORPS (2 SLRC)

Major General Thusitha Silva KSP- the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) paid a courtesy visit to 2 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps (2 SLRC) at Buddankotte on 07 March 2024 .

On his arrival to the camp premises, a drive past was accorded and the senior officer was warmly received by Colonel JKNS Jayasinghe KSP - the Coordinating Officer of the Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps and the Sri Lanka Rifle Corps and Lieutenant Colonel AMSMK Waligapola psc - the Commanding Officer.

Addressing the troops, the senior officer emphasized on well integration of the functions in the battalion in all aspects, and conveyed his gratitude and appreciation for shouldering duties and responsibilities by the serving members of the battalion for placing the battalion as it is presently.

During the visit, the senior officer inspected the camp premise and the ongoing constructions.

The visits were lined up with scheduled formalities that it unfolded with planting of saplings and other arrangement in honour of his visits. The senior officer placed a complimentary note of appreciation in the Visitors’ Book to mark his visits.

The event was attended by senior officers, officers and other ranks of the battalion.
