MAJOR GENERAL T S BANGSAJAYAH RWP RSP VSV USP ndu VISITS VOLUNTEER FORCE TRAINING SCHOOL

Major General T S Bangsajayah RWP RSP VSV USP ndu made his first formal visit to the Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) on 18 July 2020 upon his assuming office as the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

On his arrival to the premises, Major General Suraj Bangsajayah was accorded a very warm reception by the Commandant VFTS Colonel B M R J Bandara who subsequently, viewed upon the administration, current situation, training and the future plans of the training school to Commandant SLAVF. During his visit, Commandant SLAVF addressed the all serving members of the VFTS and posed for a photograph with all ranks.

In parallel with his visit, the newly constructed Guardroom of VFTS and the kitchen which facilitate required functions of the training school were declared open by Major General Suraj Bangsajayah.

Towards the end of the itinerary, Major General Suraj Bangsajayah placed the signature on the Visitors’ Book marking his elegance presence at the VFTS.

Inspector of Training of the SLAVF, Brigadier K N Perera along with other senior officers and staff of VFTS participated in the occasion. The function was held adhering to the health directives issued for COVID 19 pandemic in the country.
