THE MAIDEN VISIT OF THE INCUMBENT COMMANDANT TO THE VOLUNTEER FORCE TRAINING SCHOOL

Elevating to prospective delegations of command of excellence that volunteering is nurtured and navigated to its directions, Major General MK Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, the 54th successor in the office of the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) paid his maiden visit to the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) on 12 February 2024.

The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Training School is the utmost training provider for the members of the Volunteer Force. The arrival of the Commandant SLAVF was the most awaited event of the Training School, and he was warmly received by Colonel JAG Jayarathne KSP - Commandant VFTS.

The official visit compiled with necessary formalities was fulfilled and the arrival of the Commandant SLAVF made a probable reinforcement and an encouragement to the entire functioning process of the establishment.

The qualitative training provided by the Training School is persistently witnessed by its goals and objectives that have been timely achieved. The occasion was enlightened with an impressive speech delivered by a trainee of the Functional English Course. As well, the trainees of the Administrative Assistant Course presented a Documentary Programme showcasing their strengths enriched owing to the knowledge and training during the course.

In the wake of moment of bliss over successful performances of its trainees on the stage, the Commandant awarded the certificates of National Vocational Qualification for the designated accomplishers of the respective course programmes. The troop address which derived the significance of the visit was attained with an inspirational address based on the discipline and leadership that moulded the military career to its pinnacle. The Commandant extended his extreme pleasure for the fruitful endeavours achieved and expressed his good gracious and fullest collaboration on future achievements of the training school

The occasion was attended by Brigadier WGP Sisira Kumara RSP - Inspector of Training, SLAVF, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Army.
