THE LONG FELT NEED FULFILLED AND BLESSED UNDER A TENURE OF ABUNDANT

Particularly precise and completely facilitating a prolong-felt necessity, the inaugural ceremony of Guard Rooms and Points including Resting Points and the Main Office Complex of the Headquarters Battalion of the Volunteer Force was taken place with the auspicious of the Commandant, Major General S U M N Manage WWV RWP RSP psc on 16 August 2023 at the Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF).

The Main Guard Room, “B” Guard Room and Other Guard Points which are eighteen (18) in number including the Resting Points are immensely credited on the contingency security of the Headquarters, and the Main Office Complex as a prefabricated building of the Headquarters Battalion benefits in carrying out administrative functions and other matters comfortably and smoothly.

The process of constructions was made fruitful through the collaborative assistance of the volunteer battalions, its work force and the respective officers of command who liaised with the Commandant in fulfilling the expected objective, and the course of erections was closely supervised by the Deputy Commandant,Major General Thusitha Silva KSP of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

The warming ceremony of new constructions was attended by senior officers, officers, other ranks and representatives of the volunteer battalions along with customary formalities accorded to the occasion.
