LECTURE ON 'BOARD PROCEEDINGS’ HELD FOR SLAVF TROOPS

Knowledge on the board proceedings is of paramount importance from the grassroots level to top level; in accordance to the routine schedules of the training day in the Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Brigadier Logistics, Brigadier S A N J Ariyasena enlightened troops on ‘Board Proceedings’ at the Multi Functional Hall on Wednesday (09th November) on the concept of the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

During his lecture, he outlined the role of logisticians abide with all phases of war and peace, proper procedure of calling quotations, bids and tenders, bid bond performance, terms and conditions of tender notice, authority and responsibilities of Technical Evaluations Committee, comparison between public funds and non-public funds. Especially, he emphasized that the all the officers of respective

boards should accountable for every cent of public funds and non-public funds. Further, he apparently underscored that the final output of the board, proceedings should be concise and clear. Weekly training day lecture was scheduled under the supervision of the Deputy Commandant SLAVF. Inspector of Training SLAVF, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended the lecture.
