THE INAUGURATION PROGRAMME ON SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION WORKSHOP - PHASE 02

The inauguration programme on "Skills Development and Innovation Workshop" - Phase 02 was successfully commenced on 20 September 2022 at the Conference Hall, Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

The work shop on Skills Development and Innovation has been structured under the conceptual and factual directions of Major General D G S Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and it mainly drives for realizing the organizational objectives framed for the years beyond of the Volunteer Force.

The programme serves as an inspirational strive for innovations through recycling, and the required knowledge and skills development is expected at the termination of the course period. The course of study lasts for 21 days with practical sessions that would cover streams of innovation through Team Work, Waste Management, Welding, Painting, and Carpentry.

A selected group of 30 strength undergoes the training programme during the second phase throughout the stipulated period of the course and those who have acquired the expected efficiency in skills based on the theoretical enlightenment would be awarded a recognized certificate.

The opening remarks were made by Major General M T K R Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, and put forward the prospect of the Commandant of the Volunteer Force in conducting the workshop under a timely valued concept.
