EXEMPLARY NEVER FADED, AND A TRIBUTE TO SOLDIERING

Never fading conducts are always sound exemplifications enlighten the esteem of the establishment and such an act made by Lance Corporal RKDS Deerasinghe belonging to 5 (V) Gajaba Regiment (GR) of the 623 Infantry Brigade under command to the 62 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ-Wanni was gratified by Major General W A S S Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force(SLAVF) in an distinctive event held at the Headquarters of the SLAVF on 08 March 2023.

The essence for organizing such occasion is returning a sum of Rs. 70,400/= in cash, left behind in the ATM machine of the People's Bank at Horowpothana to the owner, Mr Jaufar Mohomad Musafer in Horowpothana by the soldier in coordination with the Manager and the bank staff of the People's Bank at Horowpothana.

The soldier was awarded a certificate of acknowledgement engraved his honesty and loyalty by the Commandant SLAVF in honour of his act and a certificate of appreciation was included in his personnel profile for future references. Lance Corporal R.K.D.S Deerasinghe is to be promoted to the next rank of Corporal with the recommendation of the Commandant.
