ENGLISH DAY PROGRAMME – SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE

The English Language Day of the English Language Learning Programme was celebrated with the gracious presence of Major General Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 29 November 2022 at the Multi-Functional Hall, Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

On the conceptual initiative of the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, an English Language Learning Programme was started on 22 August 2022 with the aim of enhancing the English language proficiency among the serving members of the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force.

The English Language Day was programmed under the close supervision of Major General Thusitha Silva KSP- the Deputy Commandant of the Volunteer Force including the supportive collaborations of Brigadier W G P Sisira Kumara RSP - the Inspector of Training of the Volunteer Force, Colonel K T S Harippriya RSP - Colonel of Training, all the officers and other ranks of the Headquarters. The English Instructors of the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force Major Madhusha Kariyawasam and Lieutenant Nishadi Abeyratna performed as the Directing Staff for the programme.

The day was coloured with spectacular events lined up, which express their talents and potentialities hidden, were unveiled on the stage. All the trainees attended in their preparations showcasing talents and skills in the sight of a large gathering.

The occasion was concluded with closing remarks made by the Commandant and he extended his pleasure upon their outstanding performances. Senior Officers, Officers and All Ranks participated in the occasion and paid their best compliments upon their presentations.
