AN EMOTIONAL LECTURE ON “NOYA YUTHU THENA” TOUCHES THE HEARTS OF SOLDIERS

With a view of enlighten soldiers on the lives of prisoners the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force organized a training day lecture on ‘ NoyaYuthu Thena’ under the guidelines of the Commandant SLAVF, Major General D K S K Dolage USP nps psc at the Multi-functional Hall on 30 April 2025.

The lecture was conducted by Mr. Jagath Chandana Weerasingha, an experienced and a knowledgeable officer who renders his service as the Commissioner Rehabilitationin Prisons’. He delivered an impressive, a splendid and an informative lecture which is of paramount importance for personal lives.

His lecture attractively reflected the ill-fated life stories of the prisoners and how they resorted to wrong activities in society and had to pay the price for it from their precious lives.

Further, heart touching videos were presented to the audience, showing how the inmates repenting for the pressure they had put on their parents and loved ones as they retrospect on their lives.

The programme got underway with the close supervision of Major General B M R J Bandara the Deputy Commandant of the Volunteer Force.The occasion was attended by Colonel Training, Senior Officers, Officers and other ranks of the Headquarters in the Volunteer Force.
