THE COURTESY VISIT OF THE DEPUTY COMMANDANT TO THE REGIMENTAL CENTER SRI LANKA NATIONAL GUARD

Major General Thusitha Silva KSP - the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force paid a courtesy visit to the Regimental Center Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG), at Wehera, Kurunegala on 18 April 2024. The Deputy Commandant was warmly received by Brigadier H A Keerthinatha RSP KSP psc, the Centre Commandant along with Colonel NMJ Mangala, one of the Senior Council members of SLNG on his arrival.

The troops of the Regiment awarded an elegant guard turnout in honour of the arrival of the Senior Officer to the premises.

Major General Thusitha Silva KSP addressing the troops, took the opportunity to convey his warm regards to Lieutenant General HLVM Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Army and the Colonel of the Regiment for spacing a prospect to address the troops. The Senior Officer specifically mentioned the importance of moving as a team in order to uplift the harmony among all serving members. He further conveyed his gratitude on successful integration of duties and responsibilities at present. The Senior Officer also extended his thankfulness on their commitment and loyalty. The troop address was concluded by exchanging the mementoes in compliment of marking the Deputy Commandant’s visit to the Regiment.

Towards the end, a special gathering along with a lunch was hosted by the Regiment. Senior officers, Officers and Other Ranks were also present during the visit.
