THE COMMANDANT OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE VISITS 3 (VOLUNTEER) SRI LANKA ARMY CORPS OF AGRICULTURE AND LIVESTOCK

Major General D K S K Dolage USP nps psc, the Commandant Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, visited 3(V) SLACAL located at Kandakadu in the afternoon on 12 June 2025. Following the drive past salutation, he was warmly received by Lieutenant Colonel B M T N Bandara psc SLA, the Commanding Officer of 3(V) SLACAL.

Later, he posed for a group photograph to mark his visit and attended the Commanding Officer’s briefing. During the briefing, the Commanding Officer stated that the considerable militarised people are serving in his battalion is one of the significant facts of the battalion.

Subsequently, the Commandant SLAVF addressed the troops at the Lecture Hall. During his address, he mainly focused on the role of a soldier, highlighting his duties, responsibilities, and accountability within the military context. Further, the Commandant specifically emphasized the importance of the Government-led “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative, which aims to promote a sustainable future through transformative attitudes, ethical values, and committed service.

In conclusion the visit to 3(V) SLACAL, he penned a complementary note in the visitor’s book of the respective unit.

The visit was attended by senior officers, officers, and other ranks representing the respective volunteer battalions and Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.
