THE COMMANDANT OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE ADDRESSES NEWLY PASSED OUT PROBATION OFFICERS

Shouldering national obligations and scaffolding the organizational upgradation all the time, Direct Enlisted Professional Officer Cadet Course was successfully terminated, and newly passed out Probation Officers were welcomed at the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force prior to taking over their duties in respective streams of professions on 14 September 2022.

The basic training was occurred at the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLAMA), Diyatalawa; the utmost training establishment where thousands of combatants groomed in the Sri Lanka Army, acclimatizing them to pursue a military career prestigious and honoured.

A brief ceremony received them warmly and Major General D G S Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of the Volunteer Force emphasized on their career that should be nourished on commitment, loyalty and integrity in the context of military holding the code of ethics of professionalism expected by the establishment. Adapting to a novel phenomenal transformation is indeed a challenge preserving its values and customs. Thus, the Commandant, extended his gratefulness for their inspirational motives for joining the Volunteer Force and extended his best compliments for future endeavours and all the success. Further, he outlined on the accountability; the significant pillar of a successful career, vested on each of the profesinal for driving the Volunteer Force to its heights of triumph as a professional Army for the awaiting years beyond.

Further, the session focused in educating the gathering on administrative concerns from the enlistment to the retirement including the career progression in the Volunteer Force.

Brigadier Ravi Herath of Perspective Planning and Implementation of the Army Headquarters, Senior Officers, Officers of the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force attended the session.
