THE COMMANDANT RECEIVES BLESSINGS OF RUWANWELI MAHA SEYA

In the wake of assuming the office as the 49th Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Major General D GS Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu proceeded to sacred city Anuradhapura and received blessings of Ruwanweli Maha Seya on 17 July 2022.

Major General Senarath Yapa made customary offerings and observances invoking the blessings on the new appointment of the Commandant of the Volunteer Force.

The Command.ant called on Ven. Rambukewela Surnananda Thero, and a discourse that summoned spiritual intergration and courage upon his duties vested much responsibilities, was made on the senior officer behalf.

The occasion was attended by Mrs Nayani Samanthi, the spouse of the Commandant, family members, senior officers, and officers.
