COLONEL COORDINATING OFFICERS, LIAISON OFFICERS AND COMMANDING OFFICERS’ CONFERENCE

Accrediting with administrative procedural of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), a formal gathering of Colonel Coordinating Officers, Liaison Officers and Commanding Officers took place in a novel perspective at the Headquarters SLAVF on 19 March 2021.

The addressing to Colonel Coordinating Officers, LOs and COs will be proceeded under few phases of discussions with the participation of the staff of the Headquarters, SLAVF, and the first phase of meeting presided by Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda ndc IG the Commandant SLAVF was successfully wound up.

The conference was scheduled with a lecture conducted by the Commandant and disseminated the knowledge and instructions to be adhered on particular commanding appointments and its scope in a military establishment. Comprehensive array of knowledge which was based on preliminary significant aspects of moulding a commanding appointment and building a strong rapport between a soldier and an officer, was extended as a matter to be concerned.

Especially, he traced upon “discipline” which is considered as the utmost quality of a soldier and how it leads tothe ultimate destination as successful military personnel. Moreover, the Commandant focused his attention on Post Depot Training in every establishment and its impact for ensuring an energetic force.

Further, the Commandant specified on the role and task of a soldier in a military arena and how its role should be shaped compatible with the standard of the Army which possesses a direct impact on the existence of a land force.

“ No Army is better than its Soldiers ”

Initiating the latter session of the conference, the matters pertaining to Volunteer Battalions and their troops on administration were discussed and underlined the significance of the responsibilities in their appointments.

Finally he extended his gratefulness to all for taking interest in actively participation in the conference.
