BRIGADIER B J LEKAMGE RSP KSP TAKES OVER DUTIES AS THE INSPECTOR OF TRAINING OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE

Brigadier B J Lekamge RSP KSP assumed duties in the office of the Inspector of Training of the Headquarters, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force with effect from 02 May 2025.

Following the military formalities, the senior officer placed his signature for an official document signifying the acceptance of his errand in the new appointment at the office amidst the religious rites and observances that invoked blessings on the official assumption of duties.

The senior officer who enlisted in the Volunteer Force of the Sri Lanka Army on18 July1990 belongs to the clan of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry, which is an elite infantry regiment engages in close-range combat. The senior officer has counted nearly 35 years of active military service and a well-experienced military personality whoupholds the essence of the establishment. He is a professionally sound military stance who has been serving under key military appointments of command and staff in the course of his military service.

The senior officer is a battle harden officer who performed to the best interest of the establishment during the counterinsurgency operations, and he has been conferred with RanaSuraPadakkama for his individual acts of bravery and distinguished conduct in the face of the enemy during active deployment. The military service rendered by the senior officer has been highly recognized, and valued with the award of military decoration of KaryakshamaSevaPadakkama (KSP) and other service medals.

The senior officer, prior to the new appointment served as the Brigadier Administration at the Headquarters, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.
