BATTALION PRESENTATION “GLOBAL WARMING AND STEPS CAN BE TAKEN TO MINIMIZE ITS IMPACT”

Beyond the precise role of a combatant, the upgradation of military career has been a prime requirement in the contemporary context of the society.

In realizing the conceptual design on flourishing and enlightening the military career in knowledge, skills and experience as a professional military officer, a lime light was created on enhancing communication skills, and the maiden deliver of presentation was presented by 3rd(Volunteer) Battalion of the Gemunu Watch(3 (V) GW) under the directions of Major General W A S S Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) on 31 of May 2023 at the Multifunctional Hall.

The session thematically centered on the topic of Global Warming And Steps Can Be Taken To Minimize Its Impact which derives current validation,was successfully concluded with the close supervision of Major General M T K R Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the SLAVF.

The Commandant presided the event as the Chief Guest, and the delivery of presentation was done by four presenters headed by the Commanding Officer of 3 (V) GW.

Reflecting and commenting on the presentation, the Commandant spelled out his vision of developing communication skills as a significant soft skill which has impacted on overcoming their career strengths and weaknesses in par with each phases of immediate authorities.

The event was attended by Senior Officers, Officers and the endeavor was commended and valued greatly by the Commandant.
