AWARENESS ON THE COVERAGE OF ‘VIRUSAVIYA’ INSURANCE SCHEME IN THE VOLUNTEER FORCE

Coincide with the training day programme, a lecture on the ‘Virusaviya’ Insurance Scheme was conducted under the directions of Major General MK Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) on 10 January 2024 at the Multifunctional Hall, Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

The lecture was delivered by Major MKD Suranjika GR, Staff Officer 2 of the Welfare Branch, Headquarters SLAVF. He expounded on the assortment of welfare benefits provided by the ‘Virusaviya’ Insurance Scheme entitled to the serving personnel of the Volunteer Force.

‘Virusaviya’ Insurance Scheme is recognized and introduced as a rewarded claim for the serving members of the Volunteer Force and their families. During his lecture, he spelled out on the functional aspect on claiming for the benefits under varied disciplines.

The lecture on the training day was conducted under the supervision of Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

Senior Officers, Officer and Other Ranks attended the lecture.
