ALL RANKS AT SLAVF ENLIGHTEN ON PAY AND ALLOWANCES

Enhancing the knowledge and improving the skills development are mainly expected through the training day programme in the Army in order to produce conversant personnel in the Army; an awareness lecture on 'Pay and Allowances' was delivered by Major E M C B Weerasena, the Officer Commander of the officers Pay and Overseas Payment Section in Directorate of Pay and Records on Wednesday (30th November).

The lecture focused on Roles and responsibilities of Directorate of Pay and Records, Pay and allowances, the process of calculating remuneration, permitting Pay and allowance for the soldier who were on absent without leave, Loan schemes and the method of calculating pension.

The questions were raised by the participants at the end of the lecture.

The lecture was attended by Senior officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Headquarters.
