DISTRIBUTION OF DRY RATION PACKS/FIRST AID KITS TO IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS OF OTHER RANKS AND CIVILIAN STAFF OF 6 SLASC SUFFERING FROM SERIOUS ILLNESSES, AND PROVIDING SCHOOL BOOKS AND SUPPLIES TO THEIR CHILDREN

According to the 2025 annual programme of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch, the 6th Sri Lanka Army Service Corps distributed dry ration packs/first aid kits to the immediate family members of Other Ranks and Civilian Staff of the unit and its affiliated squadrons who are suffering from serious illnesses. In addition, school books and school supplies were provided to the children who excelled in examinations.

With the noble intention of enhancing the welfare facilities of the troops, the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch has consistently rendered its assistance through numerous welfare projects. In keeping with this commitment, a donation of Rs. 2,500,000.00 was made towards the construction of the proposed Other Ranks’ Holiday Bungalow at the 3rd Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, Thissawewa Camp.

Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch organized a School accessories and Dry ration donation programme in collaboration with 4th Sri Lanka Army Service Corps on 27th January 2024 for the Children of Soldiers’ and Civil servants’ families who are serving at 4th Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, under the guidance of the Commanding Officer of 4SLASC Maj HBMWSAB Mahagedara Lsc and the President of 4 SLASC SVB Mrs. Chanchala Mahagedara.

The full financial support of Secretary of SLASC SVB Mrs. Niroma Vithanage, Under the full guidance of the President of SLASC SVB Mrs. Chandi Rajapaksa and The Commanding Officer 1SLASC Major KMNM Medagedara USP Lsc. The fully completed bathroom was handed over for the 17 year old special needy child of a Civil Servant who is working at 1SLASC on 29th December 2023.

The Bodhi Pooja Event for the Children of Military Families and Civil Families who is going to attend for the examinations in near future.

The Bodhi Pooja event was held at Sri Bodhirajaramaya,panagoda conducted by 1SLASC on 9th December 2023. This particular programme was conducted for the Children of Military Families and Civil Families. Specially, who are sitting the G.C.E. O/L and G.C.E. A/L Examinations. It was a great charitable programme for all and we thank Venerable Deegala Piyadassi Thero for conducting special Bodhi Pooja event for the children.

THE DISTRIBUTION OF ESSENTIAL GIFT ITEMS FOR THE PREGNANT MOTHERS

Under the guidance of Mrs. Thushari Wanigasekara the President of Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch and the members of the SLASC Seva Vanitha branch distributed essential gift parcels to 18 pregnant mothers on 18 June 2022 at the ceremonial occasion held at Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Service Corps - Panagoda.

SLASC SEVA VANITHA BRANCH HOLDS ANNUAL GENARAL MEETING - 2022

The AGM - 2022 of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch was held on 4th June 2022 at the Service Corps Regimental Centre's Conference hall and Officers' mess, Panagoda from 1630 hrs with the participation of 80 members. Mrs. Thushari Wanigasekara, President of the SLASC Seva Vanitha branch presided the AGM.

ASSUMING DUTIES AS THE PRESIDENT SLASC SEVA VANITHA BRANCH

Mrs Thushari Wanigasekera took over duties as the President of the SLASC Seva Vanitha branch on 04th April 2022 at the RHQ SLASC. Due to the prevailing Covid 19 pandemic situation in the country formalities were carried out in accordance with the health guidelines.

මින්නේරිය අශෝකාරාමය විහාරස්ථානාධිපති ස්වාමින් වහන්සේගේ ඉල්ලීම මත එම විහාරස්ථානයේදී ප‍්‍රදේශයේ අඩු ආදායම්ලාභි පවුල් 150 ක් සදහා අවැසි අත්‍යාවශ්‍ය ද‍්‍රව්‍ය බෙදාදීම සිදුකරන ලදී. ඒ සදහා ශ‍්‍රී ලංකා යුද හමුදා සේවා බළකා සේවා වනිතා ඒකකයේ ගරු සභාපතිතුම්ය නිශාන්ති අබෙිරත්න මහත්මියගේ සම්බන්ධීකරණයෙන් සහ මොබිිටෙල් ආයතනයේ අනුග‍්‍රාහකත්වය යටතේ 2021.07.25 දින එම අවශ්‍යතා ද‍්‍රව්‍ය විහාරස්ථානය වෙත භාරදීම හා ගම්වාසින් වෙත බෙදාදීම කොවිඩි 19 වෛරස ව්‍යාප්තිය වැලැක්වීම සදහා සෙඛ්‍ය අංශ වෙතින් නිකුත් කර ඇති උපදෙස් වලට අනුව සිදුකෙරුණි.
