SLASC TROOPS BADE FAREWELL TO OUTGOING CENTRE COMMANDANT

Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) held a formal ceremony to bid farewell to Brigadier SDNC De Silva, Outgoing 22nd Centre Commandant of the SLASC on 30 September 2025 at the Regimental Centre, SLASC.

In keeping with military traditions, the outgoing Commandant was presented with a military Guard of Turnout and a ceremonial parade. Thereafter, the Senior Officer addressed all ranks and expressed his gratitude to Officers and other ranks for their unwavering support throughout his military career. Later, the outgoing Commandant attended the traditional all-rank tea party and took time to share his thoughts with those present.

The occasion ended with a Farewell Dinner organized for the outgoing Centre Commandant at the Regimental Headquarters Officers’ Mess. In conjunction with the farewell party organized for the Centre Commandant, Col JCS Jayawicrama (Rtd), Col MPS Srikantha (Rtd), Lt Col DSP Wijesinghe (Rtd) and Capt (QM) KU Chaminda (Rtd) who had retired earlier has been participated the farewell dinner with their families. The Adjutant General of the Army Headquarters and Colonel Commandant of SLASC, attended to the event. Further, Mrs Ajantha de Silva, the President of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Deepika Silva, outgoing Secretary of SLASC Seva Vanitha Branch and other members of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch, Senior Officers and Officers participated in the event.
