SRI LANKA ARMY SERVICE CORPS - 6TH REGIMENT

After the end of 30 years of ruthless terrorism ending the war in the area of Nandikadal and Mulativ on 19.05.2009 to bring the entire island under one flag. Accordingly, the Security Forces Headquarters Mulativ was established in and under the patronage of a senior officer Major SL Ediriweera SLASC, and with 15 soldiers 6th Sri Lanka Army Service Corps was raised in Mulativ The reason for this was the 3rd Sri Lanka Army Service Corps stationed at Anuradhapura in the area was assigned to carry out the supply, transport and surveillance duties to all these organizations due to the distance of the 6th Sri Lanka Army Service Corps high to provide the supply and transport facilities to the troops the 6th Sri Lanka Army Service Corps was established at Nandikadal, Mulativ.

Accordingly, the following Squadrons have been established by the 6th Sri Lanka Army Service Corps covering the Mulativ area for the purpose of delivering, transporting and reconnaissance duties effectively and efficiently.

General Transport Squadron - Mulativ - Nandikadal
610 Composite Squadron - 59 Div - Kohombagas Junction
620 Composite Squadron - 68 Div - Pudukudirippu
630 Composite Squadron - 64 Div - Odysudan

Lieutenant Colonel SLMJDJS Samaratunga was the first Commanding Officer to establish the Sri Lanka Army Unit on 06.03.2010.
