ON THE OCCASION OF MOTHERS' DAY AND VESAK IN MONTH OF MAY , THE SLASC SEVA VANITHA BRANCH DONATED GIFTS TO PREGNANT MOTHERS

As another community service of the SLASC Seva Vanitha Branch distributed baby items to the pregnant wives of officers, civil servants, and soldiers of SLASC.

This was held under the guidance of the President of SLASC SVB Mrs. Chandi Rajapakse, the Commanding Officer 6 SLASC Maj UDK Perera and Mrs.Anusha Wickramasinghe.

The ceremony was held on 04 May 2024 in 2(v) SLASC Katunayake. Donations were given for 45 no of pregnant mothers and half of the monetary donations were given by the members of our Seva Vanita Branch.

The President of SLASC SVB Mrs. Chandi Rajapakse graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

A lecture on "Antenatal and postnatal conditions for mothers" was conducted by the retired nursing officer of Lady Ridgeway Hospital Mrs. KDI Perera

Also, Dr. Manori Marasinghe who is a member of our Seva Vanita branch and works at Welimada Hospital, gave a short lecture on Breastfeeding. All the mothers who attended were also served a delicious lunch after the event.
