INTER REGIMENT NOVICES' BOXING TOURNAMENT - 2024

The Army Inter-Regimental Novices' Boxing Tournament was held from 07 April to 10 April 2024 at the Army Physical Training School, Panagoda.

Master General Ordnance and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Major General AK Rajapaksa RSP graced the finals as the chief guest. Brigadier EMGA Ambanpola - The Director S & T, Brigadier NASN Nanumiarachchi - The Centre Commandants of SLASC, Senior Officers, members of the Army Boxing Committee, Officers and Other Ranks also took part in the event.

In particular, the SLASC women's team was the first time to participate in the tournament and the men's and women's boxing teams of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps displayed exceptional sportsmanship.

The Sri Lanka Army Service Corps managed to win the championship by winning 5 gold medals in the women's event. Apart from this, S/2034991 pte Dasunpriya KWSMA (54 kg) who represented the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, was named as a best player in the men's division and S/102083 pte Dilhani KHS (Below 54 kg) was also awarded as the best player of the female events.
