8TH COMMANDING OFFICER OF 6TH REGEMENT SRI LANKA ARMY SERVICE CORPS ASSUMED DUTIES

Major MKSS Premathilaka SLASC assumed duties as the 8th Commanding Officer of the 6th Regiment, Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) on 25th October 2024, at the 6th Regiment SLASC, Mullaitivu.

Upon his arrival, Major KCD Perera SLASC, the 2nd in Command (O/L) of the 6th Regiment Sri Lanka Army Service Corps warmly welcomed the incoming Commanding Officer. A ceremonial Guard Turnout at the entrance greeted him, following established military traditions.

Following this, the Parade Commander invited the newly appointed Commanding Officer to review the Ceremonial Parade held in his honor, where he received the salute from the special dais.

The assumption of duties was officially marked as Major Suranga Premathilaka symbolically signed the official documents amidst religious observances at his office. And commemorate the occasion, a group photo was taken with the 6 SLASC all officers and ORs, capturing the significance of the day.

Following this, the newly appointed Commanding Officer participated in an all-ranks tea at the conf hall, where he interacted with the participants in a cordial atmosphere.

The day concluded with Major Suranga Premathilaka addressing all Senior Officers and Officers of the 6th Regiment Sri Lanka Army Service Corps.
