12TH SEVA VANITHA AGM HELD WITH OVER 70 MEMBERS

The 12th Annual General Meeting of SLASC Seva Vanitha Branch, attended by a few more than 70 ladies, got underway at the RHQ SLASC Conference Hall premises on 23rd March 2024. Mrs. Chandi Rajapakse, President, SLASC SVB, graced the occasion as the chief guest and signalled the start of the day's proceedings by paying tribute to the memory of fallen War Heroes. The customary 2-minute silence commemorated their supreme sacrifices.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Chandi Rajapakse addressed the gathering and explained the progress of all projects and the SLASC SVB future plans at unit level. The minute of the previous meeting was presented by Mrs. Niroma Vithanage,the Secretary of SLASC SVB . As another significant moment, Lt Col Sujith Chaminda Edirisinghe delivered a special lecture on ‘The Role of a Warrior’s Wife’ to the gathering. The same executive board was unanimously appointed for the coming year ; President : Mrs Chandi Rajapakse Vice President : Mrs Maduwanthi Ambanpola Secratary : Mrs Niroma Vithanage Vice Secratary : Mrs Amarapali Batuwanthudawa PRO : Mrs Chandima Mahavithana Vice PRO : Mrs Deepika De Silva Executive Secratary : Mrs Ruwanika Karunarathna Treasurer : Mrs Hasanthi Rajapaksha Project Officer : Mrs Nadeesha Jayawardhana As the last segment of the event, all attendees joined a formal dinner at the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Officers' Mess.
