SLAMC Seva Vanitha Branch Conducts Blood Donation Campaign at 3 SLAMC, Anuradhapura

In a commendable display of social responsibility and regimental solidarity, the Seva Vanitha Branch (SVB) of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) organised a blood donation campaign on 20 February 2026 at 3 SLAMC, Anuradhapura, marking the 27th Anniversary of the unit.

The initiative was held under the guidance of Mrs Iranthi Dilrukshi Perera, Chairperson of the SLAMC Seva Vanitha Branch, as part of the Branch’s ongoing commitment to national healthcare support and community welfare.

The programme was conducted in collaboration with the Teaching Hospital, Anuradhapura, reinforcing civil military cooperation in strengthening the country’s healthcare services. The campaign formed part of a broader series of social responsibility projects spearheaded by the Seva Vanitha Branch to promote community well-being and humanitarian values.

A total of 93 donors came forward with great enthusiasm, reflecting the spirit of compassion and service that defines the SLAMC. Their generous contributions will significantly support the lifesaving requirements of patients receiving treatment at the Teaching Hospital.

The event was attended by the Commanding Officers of Army Hospital Anuradhapura, Co 3 SLAMC and several senior officers, representing the SLAMC Seva Vanitha Branch.
