Disaster management workshop to improve preparedness among SLAMC personnel was carried out by the 1 Regiment Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps under the supervision of the Directorate of Army Medical Services at 1 SLAMC Werahera camp premises from 26 February 2024 to 01 March 2024.
The program included lectures, workshops followed by a simulation exercise. The simulation exercise was supervised by Major RMDI Rathnayaka, the Acting Consultant Emergency Physician and several other consultants. The Director Army Medical Services, Brigadier KGKH Wijewardane RSP USP and Deputy Centre Commandant of Regimental Headquarters Sri Lanka Army medical Corps Colonel SAA Shantha Kumara also participated for the event.
