A NEW INTENTIVE CARE UNIT AND AN EMERGENCY TREATMENT UNIT FOR THE ARMY BASE HOSPITAL PALALI

The newly constructed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU) were declared open by Commander Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna, Major Genaral WMGCSB Wijayasundera RSP USP ndu during a brief ceremony on 20 November 2022, with the invitation of Commanding Officer Army Base Hospital Palali, Major Lahiru Rathnaweera.

This project was under the patronage of Commander Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna. The construction support was extended by the troops of Corps of Engineer Service (5 ESR), with the guidance of Commander Forward Maintenance Area (North), Brigadier ACA de Zoysa USP Lsc.

New Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU), consist with three units as, Main Theater, Recovery Area, Central Unit and also consist with one Theater Table and Anesthesia Machine. This will grate source for all military personal in northern frount.
