The 3rd Regiment of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps celebrated it’s 19th Anniversary on 22nd February 2018 at the unit, deployed in Nelukkulama, Anuradhapura. The Corps day celebration commenced with the inter battalion Cricket & Volleyball tournament following, an alms giving to “Asoka Children Home” Anuradhapura.
Guard turnout was given to The Commanding Officer Maj (Dr) WMHS Weerasooriya followed by a ceremonial parade at the parade ground of 3 SLAMC. Subsequently, The Commanding Officer unveiled the newly built Monument to memorise the war heroes who sacrificed their lives in the battle. In addition a tree was planted by The Commanding Officer to mark the event memorable.
Later the tea was served by the WO’s & Sgt’s mess and all ranks lunch was held at the OR’s dining hall.
