The 5th Contingent of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps for the UN Level 2 Hospital South Sudan is scheduled to leave for South Sudan in June 2017.
The 5th Contingent consists of Consultants, Medical Officers, Dental Officers, Nurses, Paramedical and non Medical staff.
Lt Col MPSR Amarasekara USP , Commanding Officer of the Level 2 Hospital including 12 Officers and 50 Other rankers accorded the guard of honor to the Maj Gen SH Munasinghe RWP RSP USP Director General Army Health Services and Colonel Commandant SLAMC at Regimental Centre parade square Werahara on 30th May 2017. Brig EG Jayakody USP Director Army Dental Services, Brig TJ Liyanarachchi Director Army Medical Procurement, Brig KAH Silva - Centre Commandant SLASC, Brigadier WMJRK Senaratne RWP RSP - Centre Commandant SLAMC, Col GSM Fonseka - Centre Commandant SLEEME, Col R Ganegoda psc - Centre Commandant ESR and Senior Officers of the SLAMC also presented at the event.
