THE OFFICERS TRAINING DAY 2023 SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED

The direction has given by the Army Headquarters to conduct an ‘‘Officers Training Day’’ quarterly, Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps conduct its session for this quarter on 01 November 2023 at Regimental Headquarters Werahara, under the supervision and guidance of the Colonel Commandant Maj Gen PAC Fernando USP and Centre Commandant Brig WAUS Wanasekara RWP USP with the participation of over 140 Officers.

The day's proceeding commenced with morning physical training for all Officers followed by Cane/Sward drills. Thereafter, Major WGJMDS Jayasinghe conducted a presentation on “Auditing procedures of Non-Public Funds” which was very useful specially for the young Officers. Col WMAN Warnasooriya ato, Commandant of School of Ordnance, presented the lecture on “Procurement procedure in SL Army”. The evening session commenced with the recreation with participation of all Officers playing Cricket and Volleyball.

The Diners’ Club started with the participating of Col Comdt. Mr Nilanthan Niruthan, conducted a timely and worthy presentation on “Latest battles in the world and AI technologies used in those battles”. The day's proceedings came to an end with the dinner organized at Officers Mess RHQ – SLAMC.
