Major WANC Wijesinghe Assumes Duties as the 13th Commanding Officer of the 4th Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps

Major WANC Wijesinghe, assumed duties as the 13th Commanding Officer of the 4th Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps, on 25 July 2025 at the battalion headquarters in Palaly during a formal military ceremony.

A formal Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour saluted the new Commanding Officer, upon his arrival at the 4th Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps headquarters premises in keeping with military traditions.

As part of the ceremony, Major Chinthaka Wijesinghe placed his signature in an official document amidst religious observances, symbolizing the formal acceptance of his duties. Following the next segment, the senior officer was invited to plant a sapling to mark the special occasion, followed by a group photograph. Afterwards, the newly appointed Commanding Officer shared his thoughts and views during the troop address.

The Second-in-Command, all officers, and other ranks of the battalion were present to witness this significant occasion.
