7th CONTINGENT OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY MEDICAL CORPS SALUTES ARMY CHIEF AT SLAMC REGIMENTAL HEADQUARTERS.

The Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps South Sudan bound 7th Army Contingent presented a Ceremonial salute to Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of The Army and Head National Operations Centre for prevention of COVID -19 outbreak (NOCPCO) at the SLAMC RHQ parade grounds on 13th November 2020.

The Chief Guest was welcomed by Brigadier Upul Weerakoon Centre Commandant at the SLAMC Regimental Headquarters and was given a Guard Turnout at the entrance. After review of the Guard Turnout Brigadier Chrisantha Fernando, Colonel Commandant of the SLAMC and Director General of the Army Health Services welcomed the Chief Guest. A Guard of Honour was given to the Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva by Lt Col DRSA Jayamanna, the Parade Commander.

The Chief Guest handed over the National flag, Army flag, United Nation flag and the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps flag to the contingent. The Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Corps of Engineer Services and the Sri Army Service Corps Regiments other ranks included for this UN assignment.

Senior Officers including Maj General Duminda Sirinaga, Deputy Chief of Staff Principal Staff Officers, Directors, Senior Officers and Other ranks were presented for this occasion.
