The 3rd Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps Commanding Officer Assumes Duties

Major LD Rathnaweera USP, assumed duties as the 13th Commanding Officer of the 3rd Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps on 19 July 2025.

At the beginning of the day's agenda, the newly appointed Commanding Officer was honoured with a Guard turnout. Afterwards, the senior officer signed the official document in his office, following the religious blessings.

Following the briefing of the Second in Command, the senior officer was invited to plant a sapling to mark the special occasion followed by a group photograph. Afterwards, the newly appointed Commanding Officer shared his thoughts and views during the troop address. The event concluded with an all-ranks tea party.

Senior officers, officers and other ranks of the battalion have participated in the event.
