TROOPS ASSURE THE SECURITY OF THE DEVOTEES AT THE SRI MUTTHU MARI AMMAN KOVIL POOJA

The troops of 10 SLLI under 653 Brigade of 65 Division, along with the troops of 17 (V) SLLI provided security to the annual festival of the Sri Mutthu Mari Amman Kovil – Wannivilankulam with the assistance of CSD and Police on 17 and 18 May 2019. The request was made by the kovil committee due to present security situation in the country.

All security arrangements were coordinated by Major General KAW Kumarapperuma USP, General Officer Commanding 65 Division and Commander 653 Brigade closely supervised the event.

More than 2000 devotees participated at the religious event. The Chief Priest, Kurukkals and devotees extended their gratitude and appreciated the security measures taken by the Army to make the event a success.
