Troops of 57, 65 and 66 Divisions under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi launched tree planting campaigns in Kilinochchi area to coincide with the national tree planting drive,’Wanaropa’ on 07 October 2018.
3827 Jack saplings were planted during the project. The Commander Security Force- Kilinochchi, Major General Niyshshanka Ranawana graced the event as the Chief Guest and launched the tree-planting campaign with Senior Officers/Officers andOther Ranks.
The project expects to plant Ten thousand of jack saplings around Kilinochchi area as a contribution to the ongoing government’s project.
Commander Forward Maintenance Area- Kilinochchi, General Officer Commanding of 57 and 66Divisions, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
