STUDENTS OF LOW INCOME FAMILIES OF KILINOCHCHI RECEIVED SCHOOL ACCESSORIES AND BICYCLES

A charity program was organized by the Security Force Kilinochchi with the intention of enhancing the reconciliation and goodwill among the community in Kilinochchi District. This event was organized with the collaboration of Foundation of Goodness on a request made by Commander Security Force Kilinochchi on 6 March 2018. Number of selected students from low income families received school accessories and bicycles as a gesture during the event held at Nelumpiyasa Auditorium.

Commander Security Force Kilinochchi Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana graced the occasion as the chief guest together with Founder and Chief Trustee of Foundation of Goodness Mr. Kushil Gunasekara, TV Presenter, Actress and Lawyer Ms. Kishani Alanki, Manager of Village Heartbeat Empowerment Centers Ms. Nithanjali Perera.

Commander Security Force Kilinochchi, General Officer Commanding (GOC) - 65 Division, GOC - 57 Division, Commander - Forward Maintenance Area, Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers of the Battalions distributed the donations among 291 students.

Later, Commander Security Force Kilinochchi distributed ten gift vouchers for new bicycles and a certificate of appreciation among ten school students who obtained best results at the G.C.E (O/L) Examination 2016.

Multi-Religious Leaders, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, Teachers and Parents attended the event.
