65 DIVISION TROOPS GIVE AWAY RELIEF PACKS TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES

Government is taken every possible action to prevent spread of COVID 19, in this critical situation Acting Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General LHSC Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc given the fullest support to the Government’s mechanism to control the spreading of COVID-19 Epidemic and maintain concession of the people. As a part of that, Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi, Major General HMJK Gunaratne WWV RWP RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding 65 Division, Major General DMHD Bandara RWP RSP USP direct to delivered 500 dry ration packs worth of 1.5 million to low income families in 65 Division area on 06 and 07 April 2020.

On the request made by the General Officer Commanding 65 Division, Watawala Tea Ceylon Ltd and its active partner Massone BTL Pvt Ltd sponsored the supply of those essentials and their representatives attended for this event. Each packs included Rice, Dhal, Sugar, Tea, Soya Packets, Onions, Potatoes, Tin Fish, Sprats and Salt packets.
