662 Infantry Brigade which was raised on 20th January 2009, celebrated its' 11th anniversary on 20 January 2020. In that, the present commander of the brigade, Colonel P R Pathiravithana psc was accorded with a ceremonial guard of honour followed by a tree plantation event.
Further, newly constructed facility complex at the brigade headquarters premises which comprised with a welfare shop, saloon and a canteen was declared open by the brigade commander.
Moreover, brigade commander addressed all officers and other ranks serving in the brigade headquarters and subsequently participated in the all ranks lunch. In the evening a musical show also held in the brigade headquarters premises and all officers and other ranks were participated in the event.
