57 DIVISION ORGANIZED A MEETING WITH GN DIVISION OFFICERS

To meet with the concept of Major General B P S de Silva RSP, the General Officer Commanding - 57 Division, a meeting with the Grama Niladari of the 571 Brigade area of responsibility, was conducted on 03 December 2019 at the Conference Hall - 57 Division Kilinochchi, in order to enhance the interpersonal coordination between them and Sri Lanka Army. In that, 16 GN Division Officers from 571 Brigade sector and a Coordinating Officer from Karachchi Divisional Secretariat participated at the meeting. This session facilitated to identify and exchange the important points and views of both parties which will help Army working towards reconciliation process.

Further, the lapses and the opportunities also were deeply discussed with the aim of enhancing the coordination and cooperation in-between, in order to uplift the living standard of the people of Kilinochchi, to ensure the security, peace and harmony and to restrict the illegal activities in the area. General Officer Commanding - 57 Division presided the meeting and the Colonel General Staff - 57 Division, Civil Affairs Officers of 57 Division and 571 Brigade also participated in the meeting.
