57 DIVISION ORGANIZED A COMMUNITY PROGRAMME

Meeting with the concept of Major General G V Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG the Commander Security Forces Headquarters (KILINOCHCHI) and under the guidance of Major General B P S de Silva RSP, the General Officer Commanding - 57 Division, piloted a programme for assisting the needy people in the 572 Brigade Area on 5 December 2019 at Kallaru Tamil School. In that, a medical clinic, distributing of spectacles, distributing of school accessories for students were organized and 200 civilians and the 100 school students were benefitted. The organizing assistance was extended by 6 SLSR and 14 SLNG battalions under the direction of 572 Brigade. The “Arunella Programme” work in partnership with Leo Club of Colombo and Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society extended the sponsorship to flourish the program by providing intellectual, financial and material backings. General Officer Commanding 57 Division, Commander 573 Brigade, Commander 574 brigade, Colonel General Staff 57 Division and Commanding Officers of two Battalions graced the programme along with the President of Colombo Leo Club and the President of the Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society.
