As per the guidance of Major General GV Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi and Major General B P S de Silva RSP, the General Officer Commanding 57 Division, under the supervision of respective brigades all battalions participated in various activities to celebrate the Diwali on 27 October 2019.
Under the supervision of Commander 571 Brigade, Colonel D K S K Dolage USP psc, troops of 7 SLLI Organized a soft drink Dansala in front of unit and troops of 9 VIR treated for devotees by giving tea and biscuits at the Muthumari Paththini Amman Kovil - Malayalapuram.
Under the supervision of Commander 572 Brigade, Colonel DMPP Dasanayaka, troops of 6 SLSR Organized a Kovil Pooja at Chitti Vinayagar Kovil Mankulam.
Under the supervision of Commander 573 Brigade, Colonel U L J S Perera RSP USP psc, troops of 1 SLSR participated in Kovil Pooja at Naagathamviran Kovil and organized a Dansal for devotees who participated in the event.
Meanwhile, under the supervision of Commander 574 Brigade, Colonel IANB Perera RWP USP psc, troops of 3 GR organized a Pooja at Pullayar Kovil Mankulam.
